postpartum care
is preventative care

An Ayudoula is a certified Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula dedicated to caring for mothers during the first six weeks after childbirth.

The process of giving birth increases the ether and air elements (Vata) in the body, resulting from contractions and the empty womb space. This heightened Vata can settle in the body and mind, potentially causing postpartum depression, anxiety, digestive issues, autoimmune conditions, sleep difficulties, and reduced milk production.

Postpartum care soothes Vata, aiding the healing process. Using food as medicine and applying medicated oils strengthens the immune system, supports the mother's recovery, enhances bonding with the baby and family, calms the nervous system, and provides the mother with the rest needed to care for herself and her loved ones for years to come.

Available for delivery throughout San Jose, Silicon Valley, and nearby Bay Area communities.

What makes working with me so special…

My path to becoming an Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula began with a deep love for women’s health and a passion for preserving traditional wisdom. I have studied under Dr. Bharat and Anupama Vaidya at Ayurved Sadhana, learning generational knowledge passed down on how to care properly for the birthing mother. This includes the use of herbal remedies, nourishing foods, and healing bodywork that have supported mothers for centuries.

But beyond my training, I am also a mother myself. My own postpartum journey was not easy—I faced gestational diabetes, a complicated birth, and challenges with breastfeeding. Through these struggles, I found Ayurveda’s guidance invaluable, helping me navigate with more ease, patience, and resilience. These experiences shaped me into the doula I am today: one who not only brings traditional knowledge and clinical training, but also lived experience and compassion.

I show up for mothers as a cheerleader and companion—someone who understands the emotional ups and downs, the practical challenges, and the joy of discovering your rhythm with your baby. Because I’m in the season of motherhood myself, I also stay current on the new products, tools, and trends—and can help you figure out what’s truly useful and what you don’t actually need.

My goal is simple: to mother the mother—to help you feel nourished, supported, and seen as you recover, bond with your baby, and step into this new chapter with confidence and care.
